builder
formerly brakeman
claims workClaims one buildable bead, builds it in a supervised session and opens the pull request; a phase whose criteria form a chain is built as one request.
permission row: builder
32 roles
A role is one job, run as one supervised session with one task. You choose which roles a project may run and how many may run at once; the conductor starts one only when there is something for it to do. The pill on each card says what that role is allowed to do when it runs, and the card names the Ironway permission row that governs it — the row whose switch and daily caps a project owner sets in Governance — or says it is ungoverned.
Takes a buildable item and delivers it as a pull request.
formerly brakeman
claims workClaims one buildable bead, builds it in a supervised session and opens the pull request; a phase whose criteria form a chain is built as one request.
permission row: builder
Answers a request-changes review, a merge conflict or red CI on a conductor pull request, on its own branch, with capped attempts.
permission row: builder
Works an escalated pull request — pushes a fix, resolves it, or asks one question.
permission row: builder
Takes a batch of approved issues; each becomes a verified fix request, one question, or a coded close.
permission row: builder
The same engine on approved ideas; one too big for a bead becomes a checked PRD draft.
permission row: builder
Builds one PRD as several concurrent sessions — one branch, one pull request.
permission row: builder
Proposes a swarm plan a person may edit before it runs.
permission row: builder
Checks delivered work against its criterion. Never the agent that built it.
formerly judge
claims workReads a merged delivery read-only and posts pass or fail with evidence citations.
permission row: validator
formerly validate
no LLMRuns the criterion's verify command and posts the verdict — pure Go, no session.
permission row: validator
Reviews an open pull request at its head and posts a verdict.
permission row: reviewer
Trial-merges every mergeable request on a throwaway branch and names the one that breaks the build; merges nothing.
ungoverned — no permission row
Verifies the integration branch as integrated, not as a diff.
ungoverned — no permission row
Measures a harness-edit request against the regression set.
ungoverned — no permission row
Answers a person, in the place they asked.
formerly replier
actsOne reply on an ask-* or shaper-* thread.
permission row: shaper
Stakes one open PRD question and posts a recommendation.
permission row: answerer
Answers @Conductor in the project's Buzz channel.
ungoverned — no permission row
formerly meta
actsOne turn of the factory-floor conversation — answers, drafts a PRD, or performs an explicit reviewed approval.
permission row: shaper
Keeps the backlog and the repository honest. Propose-only unless the pill says otherwise.
Categorizes new issues against open PRDs, in batches.
permission row: triager
Proposes merge and covered-by links between duplicate items.
permission row: triager
One advisory recommendation per untriaged idea.
permission row: triager
Reviews integration-head changes for security defects and files each as an idea.
permission row: triager
Proposes refactors the repository's own history proves are needed.
permission row: triager
Fixes docs that merged changes made false, as one docs-only pull request.
permission row: builder
At most weekly, a fresh session scores how legible the repository is to an agent.
permission row: triager
Posts the previous day's report.
permission row: steward
A daily review of the conductor's own logs; proposes, never applies.
permission row: triager
Lands what passed, and says what is waiting on a person.
In-process deploy verification: runs the golden journeys.
permission row: shipper
Merges reviewed, green requests onto the integration branch; promotion to release is its own request.
ungoverned — no permission row
Attaches merged requests to their PRDs by the forge's merged_at.
ungoverned — no permission row
One deduped human task per host fault; never repairs.
permission row: steward — its daily action cap only; patrol.disabled is its off switch
Reports what is waiting on a person and what is wrong with the host.
ungoverned — no permission row
Retracts human tasks the fleet has since cleared.
ungoverned — no permission row
What you run against a host yourself, beside the roles it runs on its own.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
conductor doctor | Reports every resolved fact about this host — and prints no secret. |
conductor dashboard | Opens the local dashboard (loopback only). |
conductor tunnel <user@host> | Opens a remote host's dashboard and TeamClaude pages in this browser over ssh. |
conductor pause / resume | Stops starting new sessions; running ones finish. |
conductor throttle clear | Lifts an open host-wide API throttle hold, and records who lifted it. |
conductor balance | Shapes one project at runtime: holds its new work, resizes a role, or restores the configured caps. |
conductor refresh | Re-reads projects and roles from Ironway now. |
conductor gc | Removes finished worktrees and old session records. |
conductor faults | Host faults this machine has filed, and their state. |
conductor faultline login / status / rotate | Configures the Faultline collector faults reads from. |
Install the conductor, then choose per project.
